MS Colostro Balls give you an instant, on-farm check of colostrum quality – no batteries, no calibration, no guesswork. Drop the six coloured balls into fresh colostrum and count how many float. The more that float, the denser (and better) the colostrum.

Knowing your colostrum quality in the first hours after birth helps you decide whether to feed it, store it, or reach for a replacer – a simple tool that supports a strong start for calves, lambs and kids.

How to read the result

• 1 red floats – poor quality (1025 g/dm³)
• 2 red float – moderate quality (1030 g/dm³)
• 2 red + 1 orange – reasonable quality (1035 g/dm³)
• 2 red + 1 orange + 1 green – good quality (1045 g/dm³)
• 2 red + 1 orange + 2–3 green – very good quality (1060–1075 g/dm³)

How to use

1. Fill a bucket with fresh colostrum.
2. Check the temperature is 20–30°C (never above 60°C).
3. Place all 6 balls in the colostrum and count those that float.
4. Wash the balls straight after use.

Do not freeze or microwave the balls. Never feed the balls to calves. Always read the instructions before use.
