After being housed for the winter cattle’s immunity to worms from the year before is lowered, this means that lungworm disease and gut worms can infect grazing cattle and spread easily throughout your herd during the summer months. Lungworm and gut worm infection can have a highly negative effect on the health of your herd which causes not only weight loss and even in severe cases death, but also has a strong effect on the profit margins of the farm.
