Description

One of the most common trace mineral deficiencies causing ill thrift is copper deficiency. Since copper performs so many functions in the animals’ body there are a variety of deficiency symptoms which include anaemia, scourging, depigmentation of hair or wool and lesions in the brain stem and spinal cord. Poor growth rates can occur in the absence of any clinical symptoms such as swayback.

Numerous other elements interfere with copper availability – molybdenum, sulphur and zinc – and for this reason copper deficiency occurs widely even in pastures rich in copper content.  Any change in management of the farm such as improved drainage, use of fertilisers, including liming and pasture improvements can lead to copper and cobalt deficiencies.

This product must be diluted before administration – 100ml of solution to 400ml of water. This should only be administered if known to have inadequate intake of copper or cobalt.

Usage:  Cattle 15ml diluted solution

Sheep  5ml diluted solution

Ewe     10ml diluted solution

Lambs 2.5ml diluted solution
